Launching a new food brand that can stand out in the cluttered African market
When a new food brand wanted to enter the African market, they approached us. The possibility of understanding the new, relatively unknown market along with the challenge of introducing... a new brand in a cluttered category got us excited.
African pack designs, like African dressing, are colourful. That was both the opportunity and the challenge. From the outset we were clear that we wanted to strike a balance between vibrant colour and elegance, so we could seamlessly manage to blend in as well as stand out.
We started where every business starts, brand naming. A short name, Kivo, which is easy to pronounce and recall, was finalized. We followed it up with the exciting exercise of logo design and the packaging design across their product range, and managed to successfully create an international quality pack for African market.
